6th Annual LEED Building Tour :
Cannon Design Power House
This year's LEED Building Tour will feature Cannon Design's Saint Louis offices in the historic Power House building. An original part of the Municipal Service Building complex, the 1928 Power House provided coal-fired steam heat to a dozen downtown buildings until the 1980's. After standing vacant for nearly 30 years, Cannon Design purchased the building and renovated it into their newly certified LEED Gold offices.
The building boasts numerous green features, including:
- Brownfield redevelopment of an historic building
- 40% Regional materials
- 92% Construction waste recycled
- Rainwater harvesting
- 28% Energy savings over ASHRAE standards
- 30% Recycled content
. . . All while meeting historic preservation criteria!
